PARIS (27 September, 2012) The ultimate urban-proof crossover is about to get even more desirable. The Qashqai range is set to be enhanced in the first quarter of 2013 by the new Qashqai 360, packed with innovative features that reflect Nissan's passion for bringing premium technology to an ever broader audience.

The new model builds on the considerable strengths of the current range, which has seen more than 1.3million units produced to date. It is available with all existing engine and transmission options, and can be specified in both Qashqai and Qashqai+2 body styles.

The engine range includes the acclaimed 1.6 dCi diesel - a unit that combines exceptional performance with low CO2 emissions and frugal fuel consumption. Packed with technology, including a Stop/Start system, it enjoys CO2 emissions from just 119g/km (2WD model) and can return 4.5 l/100km (62.8mpg) on the combined cycle.

The Qashqai 360 features a number of innovative and exciting features usually reserved for more expensive luxury cars. The Around View Monitor (AVM) for example uses a network of small cameras to project an overhead 360 degree ‘helicopter view' of the area around the vehicle onto the Nissan Connect satellite navigation and infotainment screen.

External design enhancements include the addition of gloss black roof rails and mirror caps, along with distinctive 18-inch Machine finish black alloy wheels. Completing the external design package, all 360 models are fitted with a luxurious panoramic glass roof and privacy glass as standard.

Customers also have a broader colour palette to choose from with new Pearl White joining the range along with the 360.

Inside, the high-tech, premium feel continues with part-leather seats, door trims and armrest, plus gloss black gear shift surround and door handles.

The arrival of the new Qashqai 360 reinforces Nissan's position as a leader in the crossover market. With high equipment levels, premium materials and exceptional quality, the Qashqai remains the most complete crossover in its sector.

The 360 will be built alongside all Qashqai variants at Nissan Sunderland in the UK with sales starting in the first quarter of 2013.
